Authorized in May 1994 by Wisconsin Act 455 to respond to the agricultural safety and health needs of the farming community, the University of Wisconsin Center for Agricultural Safety and Health is funded primarily through the UW–Madison Division of Extension, and is a joint effort between Extension and the Department of Biological Systems Engineering in the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences at UW–Madison.
Cheryl Skjolaas, Agricultural Safety and Health Specialist, has worked in the agricultural safety and health field since 1990. She develops and delivers safety and health programs in cooperation with the Division of Extension network of county based agents and educator.
